yes i admit - our children spent much of their childhood in front of the computer screen.
i'm not going to discuss now the question whether it's good or it's bad.
we did it then with full awareness.
anyway it's too late for this discussion now...
i do think that we did spend also some quality time with them.
we played a lot together,
including computer games till the point where we, the parents had trouble to follow...
we read for and with them many books.
we watched movies with them (again, till the point where they said i'm laughing in the wrong places...=))
and we discussed art with them.
they are today, in this technological age, much smarter than we are. right.
they do create beautiful things with or without the computer.
and yet, they don't know to sew a button or a pocket or to install a new shelf on the wall.
but, between us ;) maybe it's an advantage - they still need us.
they still need a hug, a smile or just our nod of approval.
at list I hope so.
some times we need it too.
this movie that we watched this week made me think a lot
and as someone said (I can't remember where I read it lately):
children are not there to love their parents. should be the other way round.
