ain't she sweet

hamburg...

this summer we are tourists in hamburg. at home.
our little oasis in the centre of town is the best bed&breakfast we could find.

metaphorically, i mean.
oasis is maybe not the right word in this case.
hamburg is so green, that from above you can hardly recognise that there is a city.
quite a big city in fact (the second big in germany).

and with the bicycles we can easily (ok... almost...) reach every corner of this beautiful city.

we started, like every tourist on sunday morning in the fish market.

no, not at 6am, but at 10am when each box of tomatoes was sold in 1 euro.
so we ate a lot of tomatoes, and cooked a lot of tomatoes.

then we cycled through the many water sources.
funny - hamburg has no sea shore, but has the second largest harbour in europe.

the harbour gives hamburg it's spacial character.
hamburg, not like florence, is a woman waiting for her sailor to come back from the sea.

she's mature.
she has patience. a sailor always come back home. even if it's not the same one...

there's a lot more to say and see in hamburg, but i need the right photos. be patient...
